Mick Boogie always seems to be dropping some of the hottest mixtapes to hit the streets, so its no surprise The Commissioner is behind Newport Authority, a collaborative mixtape which features Marco Polo on the beats in anticipation of Polo's upcoming compilation album, Port Authority.

Every song on this mixtape is produced by Marco Polo and includes alotta new shit that he's done exclusively for the tape. Boogie also throws a few tracks off Polo's album into the mix, and the whole tape is basically showcasing what Polo's been up to, hyping up his album. This tape features the likes of Skoob of Das EFX, Masta Ace, Large Professor, and Sadat X. Boot Camp Clik is featured on three tracks and they kill all of 'em, but make sure you give "He Gave His Life" a listen. Some other standout tracks include "Hood Tales" with Kool G. Rap and D.V. Alias Khryst, "Casuality" by Torae, "All A Game" with Block McCloud featuring Jean Grae, and "Swordfish" with Pumpkinhead featuring Arch Rival. And make sure you check out the Kardinal Offishall track "War", its kinda hot.

This mixtape has a real nice flow to it and it was refreshing to hear the MC's that were featured on this tape, you know, to break the cycle a little bit. But on some real shit, this is one of the better tapes I've listened to in a minute; Marco Polo's beats are on point with more than a handful of some real MC's that have lyrics to match. Peace.
